The South Island Baseball League (SIBL) is an adult recreational league for players over 18
This division is ideal for players who have aged out of U18 but still want a place to stay active, play competitively, and stay connected to the game.
General InformationThe SIBL has grown steadily over the years, both in talent and in size.
It now features 10 teams with players whose experience ranges from beginners to university, collegiate, and Team Canada alumni.
Many players have come through AAA high school programs, earned college scholarships, or are simply picking up the game for the first time.
The league is inclusive, community-driven, and offers a great mix of competition, camaraderie, and fun.
Season Format

- Preseason: 5–6 game exhibition round robin beginning in April
- Regular Season: Approximately 20 games
- Postseason: Late July / early August, with up to 10 playoff games
