Layritz U15 Baseball Age RequirementsU15 Baseball is open to players born in 2011 and 2012.

General Information The U15 division at Layritz Baseball offers a fun, competitive environment for players ready to take their game to the next level.
This division is tiered, with both A and AA teams playing in an interlocked season with other Greater Victoria Baseball Association (GVBA) parks, leading to City Championships. Both tiers also interlock with Up-Island teams.
  • Base Paths: 80 feet
  • Cleats: Metal cleats are permitted
  • Teams: We anticipate having two teams — one A and one AA
The season runs from early April to late June, with playoffs starting mid-June.
Players can expect to be on the field three times per week — typically two practices and one game.
Games are played at Layritz Park as well as other GVBA fields, including Lambrick Park, Triangle, Peninsula, and Carnarvon.
Because scheduling varies by park, game slots and frequency may change weekly. Coaches will select game slots during the preseason scheduling meeting and notify families once teams are finalized.
Assessment dates will be shared by email.

U15 AA Team & Fees Players interested in the AA team will go through assessments.
This provincial-level team plays a full season from April to early August, depending on standings.
The AA team competes in weekend tournaments both on and off Vancouver Island and will travel to the mainland approximately 4–5 times throughout the season.
This program is designed for competitive players who are committed to training and playing 3–5 times per week.
Fees If your player is selected for the AA team, a additional registration fee of 350.00 will be generated and emailed to you through our online store.
These fees cover:
  • Extended season field usage
  • Umpire costs
  • Premium uniforms

Field Prep Day Before the season begins, we host our annual preseason field preparation day.
This is a great opportunity for families to help get the park ready — many hands make light work!
