Layritz Intermediate Baseball is a part of GVBA, aimed at older youth players (typically ages 12–18). It uses a larger field than the younger divisions (with longer base paths and pitching distances), and follows more advanced baseball rules (like lead-offs and stealing)—closely aligned with Little League’s “Intermediate” or “50/70” division

15U: Born in 2011–2012
18U : Born in 2010–2007
SIBL: 18 years and older
Field Dimensions & Rules
Intermediate/50‑70 format: 50 ft pitching distance, 70 ft base paths; players can lead-off and steal bases
15U is played on 80′ base paths; U18 uses full 90′ dimensions
Season Structure
Spring season typically runs early April to late June, with playoffs in Late‑June.
Games are 2–3 times per week; A/AA tiers may include weekend tournaments and extended seasons
15UAA baseball is a full-season team. Starting April 1st and ending in Late July. It required more commitment than other levels.
Levels of Competition
Divisions include A, AA, and sometimes tiers—ranging from recreational (A) to competitive, travel-based (AA).
Assessments may be required to join AA teams, which often involve additional fees and travel
Volunteer-Run Community League
Entirely organized and coached by volunteers—parents, local coaches, and community members.
All families are expected to help with , field prep, scorekeeping, etc.
